Hi guys, I have had a random rattle from my SR engine over the last couple of years or so and I have finally got round to trying to track it down. The cause seems to be a bit of play in the drive side small end and there is evidence of the piston skirt kissing the fly wheel. The big end seems OK but do you think that play in the small end would give enough movement for the piston skirt to touch or should I go the whole hog and split the engine to check out the crank ?
