timing belt

Hi All    I need help in finding a U K  supplier  of a timing belt for my 1961 A10 Rocket it was fitted  with a V shaped belt in about 2009 by previous owner  I have tried various sauces and can only find toothed  belts  with the only option to change the pulley's  at extra unwanted cost.  Any help  would be very much appreciated. It’s not a timing belt on a BSA.  Is it a dynamo drive belt?

 A V-belt for ignition timing doesn't sound like a real Flash idea...or a Rocket either.. You sure it's a timing belt and not the generator drive belt ?

Thanks for that you're dead right it is the dynamo drive belt but still can't find a v shaped replacement belt  they all want to supply a replacement kit with tooth belt and pullys at £100 plus . Thanks for your help. Dave

Your belt drive might be a home made job, or an early version of a belt conversion.

Hi All,
There were a couple of different versions of the vee belt dynamo drive kits
Sean Hawker, (CMES no longer in business) was one and I think Lyford classics sold a version
You need to go to an industrial belt supplier rather than a motorcycle parts dealer

Is there a number visible on the old belt?
If not you need to identify the size (section) of the  belt needed,

Most auto shops that sell belts will have a tool to measure it with. Needs the smaller version of this.
