Front license plate
« on: 02.12. 2017 20:23 »
Where in the UK can I have a license plate made without the need of registration etc? Because I want to get one for the front and the rear would be a Floridan tag.

And what size is on the front? Incase they ask.
12”x2 1/2” maybe, it has 6 digits with a space and does that space mean a 7 digit Plate is required?

Well plates would have been supplied from local authorities I'd imagine - there wouldn't have been a factory standard. So curved to try and match the mudguard. Letters about 64mm high by 44 mm wide (except for 1 and I) 10mm thick and 10mm spacing. Usually three letters and three numbers in a row, or vice versa.

 probably totally useless information, but in my neck of the desert rumour has it that number/license plates are made by the residents at the local 'Big House'.... personalised (wanker) plates can be bought, but remain the property of the State....;

Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy
