My parts book lists it as 19-2122, assuming you have a 53 A10 solo and the original read to 180mph, 120 mph is 19-2111. hope its a start for ya mate.

Gavin.

Josh,

the correct speedo is BSA part no. 19-2111 which is 120 mph. The numbers on the face are S608/11. Part no. 19-2122 is for the 180 kph which I guess was used in countries that had metric.

I've include a scan out of the parts book, you will see down the bottom of the list that part no. 19-2107 is used up to 53'. It would be the same as the one you want except the trip reset is out the back of the speedo instead of out of the bottom like yours because of the nacelle.

Thanks Gavin and Brian,

Here in the Colonies we use KPH, I keep coming back to the 19-2114 or 19-2122, which one is it with KPH, solo, and reset out through the bottom.

Josh, being in Australia your bike would have originaly had a MPH speedo but if you want to go to a KPH then you need 19-2122. You might have some difficulty in locating one but maybe if you talk to an instrument specialist it might be possible to convert a mph to kph. I know this can be done with the later magnetic types as I had one done some years ago but I dont know if its possible with a chronometric.

I would have thought that you would want one calibrated in "knots" !!!!!!!!

I just dug this up, and wondering *if* the workings inside would be the same for mph/kph and just the face is changed for KPH...logic being the needle range is about the same - but I may be wrong  *dunno*, but will get to the bottom of it

** Edit 14 hours later (work interfered with life); I obviously had an early morning brainfart....after posting it occurred to me that yes the speed calibration may be close enough  to change the dial (180Kph = ~108mph), but the odometer mechanism would obviously be different by ~0.625/~1.6; so best forget my  *idea* *bash*

I could have deleted, but in case anyone already read it, best to rectify before they get greater ideas...º~º
