 Looks a high speed model....note the wheel balance weight and mis matched cable ties.

 No, when needs must, it does the job, and its better than walking. ( Although no guarantee of arriving in one piece!)

 Cuprinol Spoke Varnish would add that extra cachet for a Concours Win.

Never seen a disc-braked wooden wheel before. Just who would go to all that trouble, when it'd take less effort to make a decent job?
