I used to smoke fifty a day (JPS, Black & gold pac.)
1986 Christmas hols, I put a cigy into my mouth, went to light it and the end bit of the flint shot out of my lighter. I took the cigy out of my mouth and said "sod it".
I have never touched another cigarette since.
I gave away a pack of 200 that I had purchased the day before.
When ever I wanted a fag, I said to myself, Why do I want a fag, I don't smoke now, then took a deep breath and let it out very slowley.
IT WORKED FOR ME.  *smile*

Roy.
Note the pac of cigs in my shirt pocket

Well done - many here will know it's not easy to kick, and trouble is ditching the habit tends to make you averse to the smell of the things thereafter

That's not "trouble" but "good".
When I fancy one (still, after 25 years!) I just have a sniff of the old girl's ashtray.
Works every time, and no, it's not a euphemism!

This smoking thread needs splitting off to it's own topic.

Unless of course it's the bike that's smoking.
2 twins, 2 singles, lots of sheep
