Still works out cheaper than a new BTH! The prices of these have risen a fair bit since I bought mine, which is the older model BTH with the CDI inside the mag, cost me about 500 GBP from memory.

The mag bodies of the new BTH and Wassel version look very similar, I wonder if Wassel have found out who supplies BTH with mag bodies?

You lead them up and over the cylinder head, I suppose.

Is this mag  body by Wassell?

Edit: it’s got a Lucas sticker, so I think it must be Wassell.

 I didn’t notice- I just happen to be using a Wassell EI at the moment, in one of those mushroom shaped mag replacement housings.

This Dummy mag requires purchase of an EI system and then you need the battery and charging system to be working.

hi guys, if it was a fully working E.i. system i think it would be worth it as it would look just like an original mag but having to but extra parts as well just killed the sale, my opinion, cheers

Looks like very good quality, & anything made in very low numbers for very special purposes has the right to be expensive :O) Well worth the money imo (..if one really wants \ needs \ likes it).

Well if it looks right, works properly and someone is actually producing them the price is right. It's similar cost (in 2018) to a second hand K2F and a rebuild. Which is what I have on the SR and the A7 and is all that is needed on a 'Toy'.

It's not going to fool the rivet counters, so why bother? I'll stick with my K2Fs. I really like having an independent ignition system.

The new BTH mags are independent (of a battery), but yes they won’t fool the rivet counters

£300 and still require a battery , ermmmm  no thanks quite happy with my maggy  , my luddite tendency coming to the fore again ,
