The timing pinion bush on the RH / timing side case is loose, about 1 thou clearance.

What is your suggested repair ?, have purchased a bearing locking compound, it quotes max clearance of 5 thou at 3,000 PSI, being a timing pinion, I'd imagine it is no were near these sorts of pressures ?.

Josh,
Ideally your c/case needs boring true and an oversize bush making.
However as it is only a small amount of wear and assuming you have no lathe to make an oversize bush This is how I would repair it.
I would use your bearing fitting compound but also make doubly sure by doweling the bush to prevent rotation. You may have seen this done ,typically in gearboxes where a  bush has a dowel though  the thrust flange.
It is easy to do.Obtain a steel dowel.A piece of silver steel or a ground-off drill shank will do.
File a notch ,half round or square in the flange of the bush.
Fit the bush temporarily in the case to decide where the dowel hole is to go .
if you are using ,for instance a 3mm dowel ,then drill 2.9mm .
File or grind a small chamfer around the leading edge of the dowel to help it in.Tap the dowel into the case ensuring that it finishes under flush of the bush thrust face.
 Fit bush .
This is quite a common method by used BSA ,Triumph etc to ensure bushes dont rotate.

Someone has previously tried that, so I've drilled out their attempt and added mine, the combination of permatec and a dowel, I guess time will tell.

This bush was not dowelled, some previous bush had been.
