Do you use a Kidney belt while riding? I'm wondering if one would help support my back.

Yep...  I've had a crook back for over 20 years,
if I ride any great distance without it, next day I can hardly walk...

I used to for about 20 years. Then a few years ago I got L4, L5 & S1 fused. I can ride the A7 plunger and 1100F all day, the XT500 for a few hours but the A10 Cafe (and the wife) is limited to an hour or so.

Ah these used to be standard fitting in the 60's scrambles on a Saturday afternoon, BBC I think - only three channels anyway and  I think ITV did the wrestling IIRC???

I wear one on winter rides when I'm using a 3/4 length coat that can be a bit breezy around the skirt (?). That's for warmth rather than support though. It's just a cheapy elasticated thing I picked up from a bargain bucket somewhere.

I have worn one for many years. Being a short-idiot, I have to lean forward on anything over 500cc. It helps support my back. It would also be handy if I fell off, as it would help reduce back-injury.
