The Gov. and others know too much about me already without me giving them even more to spy on.
Whenever I have to fill out a form on websites and I have no option but to give a phone number, I always put one number wrong.  ;)

Wouldn't worry to much about the Government, your info is safe with them cause they can't for the life of them open their mouth without telling lies.
However the others are a pest, switch off all tracking, consistently tell them you don't want any of the add's, install Add blocker Plus, occasionally surf stuff your not interested in just to send them off the wrong way.
Email - BT email blocking just does not work, complain, I have but it's takes more than a few to convince them
