Fork leg stud

On tightening the bracket on the fork leg, I sheared off a stud (still a bit protruding).  Any ideas re a quick fix or is it all about grinding, drilling, etc.  Didn't want to ruin the power coating too much if I can help it.

Studs seem to be made of cheese and were a bit knackered anyway.  The other leg has larger studs and are much more robust.

drill and screw in stud remover wont work? or are you saying the stud is bronze/ welded in, in which case drill out and tap for new stud?

they where gas welded in, you need to remove the wheel and guard and turn the leg round carefully grind off the old weld and remove the stud collar, drill out the stud and weld a new one in, now the collar compleate with stud need rewelding to the Leg using minimum heat

So, basically, my nice powder coating is fubar-ed!  Cheers guys, will have to get my mate in for this as I don't have a welder or any welding experience.

On the plus side, bike goes like a rocket now I've actually put some decent clearances on the tappets (10&14)

I would be thinking about a temp arrangement until I was ready to do the job properly. Some sort of clamp arrangement around the fork tube maybe? Probably not a 'U' clamp though, which might damage the tube. What about a couple of hose Jubilee type clamps retaining a plate with a stud welded to it?
