Banbury Run
« on: 09.06. 2018 15:02 »
Its not A7 or A10 related, but I am going to the Banbury run next weekend see http://www.banbury-run.co.uk/
I don’t have a qualifying bike but am taking a friend who does and thought it would be worth a look. If the weather is nice I will be wearing my forum tea shirt just in case.

BSAOC West Yorkshire camp is next weekend. If I decide that's too far I may do the Banbury run.

What do you mean about a qualifying bike? If the event is run by the VMCC, they are happy to have any machine that's over 25 years old. You'll see Japanese machines!

As John says its pre 1930 bikes (470 + of them), but a big event with a jumble etc and although I have never been before I thought well worth a look.

I should still like to get myself a qualifying machine, but boy are they expensive now. Would make a good project if I could get a box of bits from somewhere though I suppose.

It was really good, and I have added a qualifying machine to my long wish list. Probably something like a BSA sloper I love all the exposed bits, you can see how they work.

Hi Angus,
Thanks for the CL photo *smile*
I think I spoke with its owner at Stafford Show ?
There are not too many veteran CL's out there

But an upgraded belt from the original I'm guessing.
