'59 A7SS Bearing Shells Which?

I have to fit new bearing sells and there seems to be quite a few part numbers floating around - some seem for engines up to 1955....Draganfly lists a number 67-320 as standard, 67-244/5/6 etc as +10/20 etc.... others list them as 67-320 A/B/C for the various undersizes. Have also seen   67-0341???

I presume one avoids the cheaper ones by MCA and others, costing between 24 and 34 pounds a set?

Since I need +0.010" I suggest I need 67-320A or Draganfly's  67-244 for my 1959 small journal crank??

Before I order let me ask the experts to get it right!

67-0244 (67-244) or 67-0320A are correct. Ask vendor what brand/manufacturer they are.

Don't forget to clean the sludge trap and renew the anti-syphon ball and spring.

Musky, many thanks indeed. Yes I am going to do that...I am used to building Triumphs which simply don't suffer some of the oiling probs Beezas seem to have.

I think Beezas are better built and engineered except for the  oil circ, oil leaks and wet sumping probs. The Triumph twin spring and ball system proved vastly superior in the long run IMO.

BSA kept on using the obsolete soft tin/antimony based babbit bearing slippers for way way too long.
GO for modern aluminium / tin slippers preferably indium plated , which by the way is what Triumph used so BSA had no excuses apart from "they have always worked good enough in the past"
