Slymo introduction
« on: 05.07. 2018 11:25 »
Hi the name is actually Simon and I live in Auckland New Zealand.  Recently purchased a 58 Super Rocket in a very mixed condition. The plan is to renovate it to a high mechanical standard so I can ride it everyday Im not using a bitsa 350 RE Bullet that I built up out of orphaned parts about ten years ago or the B44 Shooting Star that I now have on the market in order to limit the fleet on strict instructions from the wife. I'm currently short a main stand for the SR  but most other bits seem to be there. Thanks for letting me join the page. S *smile*

Welcome aboard Simon.
You will love the Super Rocket, they are such a 'rideable motorcycle'. Don't worry too much about the wife, just throw a cover over the other bikes before she comes out to the garage to 'count the motorcycles'! They aren't actually worth that much. I tell Mrs Tomcat that they go up in value so we will really make some money when I stop riding!
Cheers Tomcat

Hi Sylmo
if you can make your way over the bridge the BSAOC meets for a beer and a chat every 2nd wednesday of the month at the northcote pub, from 630ish onwards. come and meet some similarly afflicted individuals (i've got a 61 super rocket) some of whom have a wealth and knowledge and helpfulness. (and embarrassing fact: more arrives in cars  *sad2* than on bsa's)

the BSAOC and this forum are the main reasons my BSA's are going concerns
