I havent got and original one to measure unfortunately, hopefully someone will come up with some measurements.

Because I'm a cheapskate I have always made my own, mine are 120mm wide, 90mm deep and 160mm high. They fit all the bikes I have had including the plungers. I just drop a modern battery inside.

I didn't think they used a box,  just the battery strapped in..I have an old original style one back at the Low Chaparral that I can measure in a while- if I  remember..

  Ok I remembered...
 125mm long/ 87mm wide / 156 high plus long lost top (~ 1/2" ?)
I think an old Century battery
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy
