I have a brand new 68-0050 A65 oil pump worm. What is the difference between this and 67-0642 which is the same for the A7SS/A10?

Is it length? If the 68-0050 is longer, could I not have it skimmed to length?

If so, what is the correct length of 67-0642? 68-0050 is 21.75mm

The threads seem 20 TPI in both cases.

Urgent assistance needed as my rebuild has come to a dead stop, and I have a show deadline. Thanks

I think the worm is the opposite way, ie; LH as opposed to RH
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

Think I have figured it out...... the A65 and the A10 one have the grooves slanting opposite........

Because the pumps rotate in opposite directions.
