I have to say, NOT because this is an A series forum, OR because I have one, but in my view the Golden Flash in beige is the most beautiful bike ever. And I've owned many and obviously seen many others. The lines, from the bobtailed rear guard to the sweep of the exhaust pipes , shape of timing cover and even the shape of the cylinder fins is just perfect. Even beats the Brough Superior.

Is that Rick Parkington's bike?

And I would imagine I'm in the minority here, but I don't really 'get' Vincents. Get me coat (again)?

Let's both grab our coats and go outside for a fag.... *smile*
I'm not much into Vincents neither. They look a bit weird.
But this Norvin's another story though

When you are on a Vincent first time, two up with luggage in my case, and see a big double lane mountain pass rising ahead, then roll it on and feel this big hand reach down and effortlessly shove you up the hill past all of the slow traffic, that's when the bike starts to look very good.
Powerful, smooth and old, that's what they are.
Hard to explain, you probably need to ride a well sorted one to get it.

Looks good to me, apart from that extra long exhaust tail and concentric carb.

Have to agree the exhaust needs a hacksaw - and the mudguards seem a mismatch. I do like the vincent engine, however, but never been keen on those frames. I realise there are those who swear by Norton frames, but they're not for me. I got the feeling that once you'd put them into a corner, you were committed. They didn't want to change line, whereas I always found BSA frames forgiving, in that you were in control of the bike and not the other way around. Indeed, the reason I sold my triton years ago was because it unnerved me on corners on more than one occasion.

love it but I love vincents and that's thanks to Ogri  ;)
saw a Norvin once at a show had modern forks and wheels twin discs and modern tyres that were trashed to the very edges so you knew it had been ridden hard and enjoyed.

I keep coming back to that picture. I think what is pleasing is that that awesome engine fills the gap completely.
