A walk in the sun
« on: 27.09. 2018 14:53 »
My wife and I took our dog and our son's dog, who is boarding with us for a couple of weeks, for a lovely walk in the glorious warm sunshine today. Couple more pictures in the next post.

That avenue of trees are Aspens. We don't know why they are all leaning.

You are on a slight hill and your camera is tilted at an angle.  *smile*

Know what you mean though, it being a nice day.... was going to go out on bike and clean it up ready for DGR but there is a job or two to do on it.

Nice place, here (in N) have forgotten the meaning of the word sun.
Interesting with the trees, must be wind always in one direction?

And the situation with camera tilt ref. to trees, the trees are ok and correct, it's the whole planet earth that's out :O)

hi guys, GB (That avenue of trees are Aspens. We don't know why they are all leaning) it usually means that they are in a very `windy` location, cheers

We take that walk several times a year; I've never known it to be especially windy, but there has to be an explanation. The land opposite the trees slopes down into a shallow open valley, as shown in the picture of the ploughed field. Maybe while the trees were young the prevailing wind lent on them.

It took us a while to identify the trees as Aspens. I don't think Aspens are common in the UK.

Possibly more common in Colorado.
