Optical illusion Chaps, they're not condoms just very wet rags.I collected the bike on Sunday and dragged it 200 miles to Newcastle in torrential rain so everything was saturated by the time I got here.Being an unseen Ebay purchase all was not as it seemed. The bike hasn't run for donkeys years and there are the inevitable missing bits. Lots of nuts (metric/UNF you name it even a few coach bolts) with rounded corners and some stripped threads so lots to keep me going.
Now where did I put that helecoil kit?

Cordial Greetings Pete.   Looks as if you have the best of basic bits.  Who knows what awaits. Congratulations on one of the cleanest motors I have ever seen.... Seems a shame to take it apart, hope there is some oil in there.  Nice example of a half width front hub, with the correct torque arm. Alas, the lever is over centre, so new shoes may be your first expense.

  Good luck with it.

  Keep Spannering,   Swarfy.

You've certainly found the right place for answers during your rebuild.
As you say, the clip-ons may have to go. Great pose value but I changed mine for standard bars after an 'incident' on a roundabout. At 6' 2" the standard bars and rear set footrests suit me fine. No doubt you'll have plenty of other decisions to make before that one.
Looking forward to reports of progress!
