I have also posted this on the BSA Owners Club forum but since realised that this forum has more users and guests so thought I'd repost here as well...
Wondering if anyone can shed some light on one of the spares my Dad had squirrelled in his garage. It is a twin carb cylinder head (part number 67-1102) that I think is off an early A7SS or similar that I think he'd bought from an autojumble in the 70's or 80's.
The only strange thing about it is that it has a 'conversion' part attached to it stamped up with MEL-SPEN CONVERSION on the top and BSA-A10 on the bottom. See attached photos.
Can anyone give me a clue about MEL-SPEN, if they've seen anything like this before or any info. I've searched the web but can't find any reference to MEL-SPEN at all.
