LATER: Seems the bubble cars are known as the BMW Isetta.

My wife's father had one when they were young. She is one of nine siblings! Go figure.

My thoughts exactly. These bits were probably from a scrap yard.

I don't think so. I doubt if the steering was very accurate though with about three times the normal power pushing it along.
