Mid last year I could catch a special Project for a realy low budget as a basket case about 30 miles from home.
Checking all the parts, the spares as well at the scren and the finger was on the bottom.
Two gearboxes, one a competition second head with rockerbox, and by the way all reconditiond- missing parts was the frontfork, headlamp, fender. Thiswas in case the bike had an bad crash in 1960- The papers tolt it was out of order one month after my birth.A realy long sleep. I gues the last owner planed a restoration , so the all parts were covered with dust but oiled befor stored. A good clean showed new valves,guids, piston first oversice, new bigend and so on, realy surprised.
The descition to build up a bike as racer was the option to get a new rebuild barrel with piston.
Base was a wracked M20.....realy a bad condition
Never the less, winter comes with no boring time and a lot of work.
First the build up of the engine was an easy way and done in two weeks, firing up with a vew kicks in a special stand, dear what a sound
The original bike come to live early 1939 , despatched to BSA Dealer Zorrel Warschau.The trace in II world war is unknow, but it is a marvel the bike survived and comes to light in 1949 near Frankfurt. Three owners till 1961 all living in Frankfurt.
It`s one of the 37 survivers with matching numbers. The reerrection of the bike will close up maybe in 2 month.
