A10 Cam Followers

Had my Barrel rebored and my mate painted it ...unbeknown to me he vapour blasted it ...the results are awesome ...except... I had blanked off the cam followers with gaffer tape but forgot about the holes on the barrel base ....so last night ready to install and I just remembered about the gaffer tape ...took it off and surface rust and silica everywhere....the followers were jammed solid...tried to wash it out with oil and cleaners ...moving but it’s into the locating grooves so looks like it will all have to come apart (what I SHOULD have done at the beginning) I see that there are three grub screws ...steel into cast iron 😖 ...they look to have been out before ...engine had a complete rebuild before I got it but the barrels were glazed and damaged ....anyone got any advice before the impact driver comes out ....

From memory the grub screws are standard 1/4 BSF thread and made of fairly soft material. If you had to drill them out it wouldn't be a disaster because you can make some new ones out of 1/4 bsf bolts.

I've not found the ones on my block to be extremely tight.

There is a tiny (3/16"?) ball under the top screw........don't lose it!
