hi everyone  ,   I have acquired a petrol tank for a a10/a7   it has had internal tank sealer in it a few years ago and it is breaking away from the sides I wonder if there is some kind of neutraliser chemical I can wash it out with ,     thanks tw

Paint stripper, the strongest you can buy, at least half a litre, let it soak for a few days turning over twice a day. Pure alcohol can work as well (my brotheroutlaw has a still).

Thanks Musky , I will try the stripper ,  I don't suppose a gallon of English beer would do there some strong  stuff nowadays  TW

DIY paint stripper is almost useless these days. Try to get pro stuff.

I did my A7 tank by putting a pint and some screws, nuts & bolts and then wrapped the tank in a blanket. Put it in the cement mixer and let it go, repositioning it ever 1/2 hour. Took a few hours but worked a treat.
