Where should the frame number be on an A10 1959/60 the frame with the half height gusset plate and what size in mm's should they be?

On the headstock, near the front. Ltters & numbers around 8mm high

The factory supplied unstamped frames to dealers to replace damaged ones. The dealer was supposed to stamp the new frame with the origial number.
If he did stamp it he would use whatever stamps were in his tool kit and they might not have been the same size and font as the ones as used in the factory.

Thanks, that may be the reason for the slightly smaller numbers, the fonts are for the period, ie the 4, 3, G ect. so guess it is cosher.
