Good evening everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can help us.

I have a number of Brake plates / Anchor plate's that fit the Rear A7/A10 full-width Iron hub. A few of them have a rectangle mark on aluminium that is hard to see (catch it in the light).
It looks like where a sticker or label has been, as these are the same size, shape, and location you can rule out any kind of auto jumble "price" sticker, and have been amassed over a lot of years from all over.

We have had a good look through all our parts books and none show a sticker.
Is anyone aware of one? What did it say? Or better yet has a photo?

Thank you in advance for any help anyone can give on this matter.
Chris

The box on some 1969-63 plates is where the cable stop was cast in on the 1958/59 brake plates with lever pointing up. Not for a sticker.

I think it is just where the casting die was modified.

It is polished out on the Super Rocket with polished brake plate.

The back of the plate also shows the casting mark.
