Only met the guy once, and didn't like him. Certainly didn't have a sense of humour and at the time he was hanging around with some pretty shady characters.

Must be DB. Didn't have a good reputation. He lost his legs showing off attempting 3 low level flick rolls in succession. Can't be done, as he found out. Cost him his legs and His Majesty an aeroplane.

greybeard I had a book of cartoons er drawings by nick ward somewhere hanging about, there's some crackers in it. can't find it now, I got some blown up photo copies done and decorated some walls with them, *good3*  EDEEEIT found it!!! Great cartoon.
I note the lights have fallen off, so no recovery vehicle then as it’s unroadworthy.
Carb is on fire through blowback, head gasket has blown and the front tyre is flat. And it’s a BSA! M20 or 21 by the looks of it (piled arms on tappet cover).
