What is the thread for the fillister head bolts that hold the primary and timing covers on ?
My bike is a 1958 A7SS

G'day Roy.
RD is correct 1/4 BSW. About the only bolt/screw screwing into alloy on our A's is the rocker bolts going into an alloy head. 5/16 BSF.

musky they go into brass inserts on ally ED not direct into ally

The 3 big ones on s/arm models are 5/16" W
