Soft pickup brushes
« on: 17.10. 2019 11:38 »
Just received new Wassell pickup for k2fc. They're still fitted with the soft useless brushes. Luckily I've  spare Brightspark brushes to fit, but don't Wassell ever listen!

Hi Reg

Not even sure I would fit the Wassel pick-ups. I changed the pick-ups, acorns and brushes for Brightspark supplied components and it transformed the starting and running.
If Wassel do not understand (or care about) the problems caused by soft carbon on the brushes then I doubt if they care about correct material being used in the pick-ups.

There's an in-depth topic on that here - (edit) If you don't want to read it all especially read reply 12, reply 24 to 44:-

Tried to order from Brightsparks but they're out of stock of the k2fc type and the standard k2f are different. They've been waiting for delivery for a year. I'm hoping the Wassell c**p will serve temporarily .
