I've just picked up some King Dick spanners. There are some AF's but most are BS sizes. Are you interested?

I intend to keep that little cranked jobbie as it looks like it will be great for tappets.

I've got a full set of those cranked rings, purchased them in my youth. 

These are all I can find at the moment.

Wasn't so many years ago that all ring spanners were cranked. Still much better than the flat combination things sold now though.

 A spanner ain't just a spanner!  I have a set of those Gordon's, just like Roy's and they are very nice to use, well finished and fit nuts and bolts "just so" and never slip.  GB's collection looks to contain a few open ended rings, usually used on pipework or hydraulic fittings.  The tappet spanner could have come from a specialised toolkit, I'm thinking aero engine where access is limited.

When I worked in Tyseley, I passed the King Dick Factory in Wharfedale Road most days.

I prefer a slightly angled combination spanner. The turning force is more directly applied. Plus, you have the open end close at hand.

I prefer the old idea that your toolkit had one OE and one ring of each size, and that way you could do up a nut and bolt fixing. Now when good socket sets are cheap enough to buy I suppose it's not so important.

I take pairs of spanners in the bike toolkit.
