It would be interesting to know the name and charactaristics of any of the modern replacement materials.

Hi Julian, In an email to me for just the front shoes I was quoted £36.00 inc postage for '3915 heavy duty lining' (apparently what they're calling their Premium grade on their website). In the end I decided I might as well get the rear ones done at the same time and the price then became £54.00.

Thank you Roger - good to see MZ Gold still available and very useful information about the woven linings. Still got MZ41 linings on the front of the A10 having had problems with some anonymous grey stuff linings which managed to grab and fade in the same 20 mile journey.

Just adding to this thread for anyone that may be interested.
Here is a photo of my newly acquired Watsonian GP Manx. Finished fitting it yesterday and went for a short test ride. Still some minor adjustments to do to improve handling. I'm pleased to say the new brake linings from Saftek Frictions, to me and considering std A10 brakes, seem to be excellent - even with the sidecar.
