NOS A7 pistons and conrods for sale
« on: 01.11. 2019 22:30 »
A ONE - OFF OFFER

SRM HAVE A PAIR OF GENUINE  UNUSED    BSA A7
STANDARD SIZE 8:1 COMPRESSION PISTONS
AND CONRODS
FOR SALE

£695

Please note: There is slight tarnishing visible due to age but, this in no way affects performance.
The gudgeon pins, circlips and piston rings are also original, unused and in an excellent serviceable condition.

The pistons come with a pair of  genuine BSA A7 conrods, which are fitted with original BSA small end bushes and big end nuts and bolts.

Please note that these are both left hand side conrods, which have tiny oil feed relief holes to keep the cylinder bores lubricated.

The bearing shell housings look as good as the day they left the factory and the small end bushes fit the gudgeon pins perfectly.

For that sort of price level I would want a pair of matching rods, not a collection of mis-matched bits from the stagnant stock inventory!

Does this mean GB is once more in harmony with this noted supplier, after the travails of a few months ago?

I do not hold SRM responsible for my problems. The rapid wear of the cam followers was caused by valve spring bind. Factors: I previously had a reprofiled camshaft and then installed a higher profile new cam. I had the wrong collets with the old camshaft. On the worst worn follower I had fitted the bottom spring cup inverted. So, I installed a new camshaft, new, (pattern) springs, correct collects and new non-SRM followers. That was when the fun started.
