Air box dimensions. A10 plunger
« on: 10.01. 2020 11:54 »
Hello!

Since I don't have an air box I would like to make a new one.
Can you please help me with dimensions?

Best regards

As mention in a previous post I have bought an air box that has been cut - https://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?topic=6124.0
But here is a layout of this box. I rubbed along the box through the paper to get an imprint and drew this in and hopefully scanned it to 1:1 but have included inch/mm scales.
Hope this helps to start with - if someone could do this with a complete one would be great for all.

Hi! Here is a picture of my airbox/battery holder, which I've now fitted to the bike. But I could take some measurements for you if you want, maybe tell me what measurements you need? I know the original item is hard to fine, but I also know that it can be expensive to make one yourself. Cheers, Simon

Hi fearie, attached are photo's of my airbox. I can "attempt" to make a template and take more photo's and measurements if you need.
However, I am heading off on holidays for a couple of weeks so will not be able to do it until I get back. Send me a PM if this may be helpful.

Hi Russ, I wouldn't mind a template to enable to restore mine if you could.
Cheers

This topic was hot a few weeks ago. For those folks that missed it, some enterprising fella is making the basic airbox carrier/battery mount. Still needs a battery tray to suit but looks a reasonable buy and a good starting point.

Try this...
