Crank I.D.

I've had both of these for several years.  They were both marked as A10.  Now that I'm ready to use them, there appears to be a difference in the drive side.

G'day BT.
The one on the left is either an A10 alternator model or an A50/65. Measure the drive side journal. I think the A50/65 is smaller.

It appears I have an A50/A65 crank (smaller bearing I.D.) .  I thought maybe the odd one was an alternator A10, but they are rare in the U.S.

Interesting - Will a unit crank fit into the pre unit cases - by just putting a bush over the smaller diameters?

If it would I think some work would be needed.

The A65 gearside journal is a nominal 1.5 inch diameter and the A10 less at a nominal 1.375 inch diameter.

A65 has 10mm shorter strocke, so its better to build up an A7 with it.
