Magneto Cable removal.

G’day. Do I have to remove the Magneto from the engine to replace the cable on a ‘53 650. Can’t seem to get a spanner  on the small nuts where the kill switch attaches.

Which cable are you trying to replace? Which type of magneto do you have? Sounds like an early one with the kill button on the end of the mag. A picture would help.

I would cut the cable before I took the mag off unless you need the mag off for some reason or another but beezermacc is right exactly what cable are you trying to get off? If its the kill switch cable itself a pair of pliers will normally do that easy enough
