Mine came with that fin broken and missing when i bought it in the 80's. Am i a bad person for never even thinking about replacing it? Must admit my Bitsa was never gonna be in a show. One of the few bits of damage that i am not responsible for!

G'day Fellas.
When I got my 51 A7 on the road in the early 80's she had a broken bottom fin. On a ride at highway speed she nipped up. Let her cool and continued on at a slower pace. When I lifted the barrels I saw a heat mark corresponding to where the fin was and the piston had scoring on that side.
I would repair a broken fin before doing any serious riding.
Cheers

I just wonder if muskys  fin was broken by an angry ex girlfriend and was smashed off with a hammer which resulted in damage to that part of the bore,---- like my cylinder head fin was smashed off. at the time she went round the shed willy nilly throwing the hammer about causing damage to loads of stuff, I was glad the tank and seat were not on the bike *bash* *bash* *eek* *help* *pull hair out*

Lol
An angry X wife of an old colleague of mine took a bread knife to his classic Lambretta, carved up the seat and scored the words "cheating B*****rd" in the side panels and  "T**t" down the leg shield things at the front. He moved on but lacquered over the vandalism and kept it like that.
