A7 interchangable with A10?
« on: 14.05. 2020 22:53 »
I might get a virtual punch in the face for this but I've recently had the opportunity to acquire a few A7 engine parts e.g. crankshaft, crankcases, cylinder head, rocker cover.

My question is; which parts are interchangable and which parts are not?

It'd be nice to have a spare cylinder head or crank-shaft if I could drop it into my A10 without a hitch :)

Crankcases and rocker cover will be OK.

An A7 head will fit an A10. I have also come across an A7 happily fitted with an A10 head. If you change the crank, you will need rods, barrels, pistons and pushrods. And probably a head.
