Tank badge alternative?
« on: 10.07. 2020 18:13 »
I've been looking for some proper GF tank badges but not found any, just wondering if anybody would know if any of the other model's badges would fit as a temporary measure til I find some proper ones that don't require a mortgage.
Cheers

A50/A65 Side panel badges may do, parts 68 9235/36.  A65 Lightning decals maybe......  Tank cover or a spot of DIY body filler sculpture?

Saw some recently on eBay where some enterprising fella had made a mould using some well abused  original badges and cast some in resin. Sold them for a fair wedge, so there is demand out there.

This is the A65 badge. It's not quite right, (no 'Golden Flash') but would probably do the job.

Thanks for that. I'd seen that eBay ad for the resin copies, got me thinking about casting some of I could get hold of a set.
Also saw this on YouTube, but can't find the seller, these look quality.

Yes Musky, I eventually saw a link to his page, he does a load of custom xs650 bits as well. Nice work by the looks of it.
