Update

I have had the tank dechromed.  The chrome platers (Prestige plating at Mexborough) are happy to chrome it at a cost of around £300 with a 5 month wait as the steel is still good.  The two dents can be removed for £200.  So add badges, Taps and painting it should be done for £700.  The next job is to leak test it.  I might try and remove the dents myself they are only two small one in the chromed area.

I have bought one from Ebay for £300 but it is red rather than blue and still need taps.

So do I go with the one from eBay or refurbish the original.  If I do not refurbish the original, what do I do with It?  I feel it is a cope out if I do not use it.
