Srm comp sprocket nut

Good afternoon just looking at my comp sprocket but from Srm and trying to figure out why they added the 2 tapped holes ...I don’t see a purpose for them but I am sure they don’t waste money drilling and tapping them for no reason.?

Hi Sean,
The holes are to attach a timing degree wheel for setting your ignition timing. SRM sells a kit that includes the nut, wheel and screws. Sadly, I just bought the nut and did not notice the kit until after the order was placed.....
