Superflash Resto.
« on: 28.02. 2021 10:57 »
G’day. After help from a Superflash guru.
Could you please tell me what frame parts are generic with other models. I have heard the Oil tank off a ‘53 SF plunger is the same as a Bantam D1?
 What other parts are there?
Mick.

Bantams had an oil tank? Someone's getting you at it. *conf*

Mick   Save yourself the hassle and get hold of the parts catalogue for A Series Models 1949-53. Right at the back are pages of parts peculiar to the Super Flash.

Be it frame, oil tank, fuel tank, gearbox, you name it, there is some variation in almost every aspect for you to contend with.

The Superflash's rear number plate 90-6797 was also used on the 1955 competition D1 Bantam rigid. That is about the only major frame part that was not unique to the Superflash I believe and I expect the D1 Bantam only had it to use up left over parts.
