Plunger A10 Oil pipes
« on: 20.05. 2022 16:59 »
Hello ,

I am ready to replace the entire oil pipe system on My 1954 Plunger A10 and am struggling finding the various unions & rubber pipes required ?
Can Anyone please point Me in the right direction as the rubber items in particular on Mine are getting very worn ?

Ideally I would like to build a set up if I could find the correct items as My Own have been modified t accept a none return valve , etc .

Thank You in advance ,
Steve..

I stock the fittings and may also have some second hand parts.

Make sure the locating dowel is in place between the crankcase and oil pipes bolt on block. Without it the block can move and obstruct the oilways. Nothing special about the rest of the fittings, my bike came with homespun PVC oil connection pipes straight from the hardware store......these days there is a bit more choice. Any oil resistant flexible tube to fit the metal tubes will do, car fuel injection hose is fine, and being reinforced maybe a bit more durable, tho' there is no great pressure in the return. Hose with metal braid outer for extra bling maybe and clips to suit.

 Swarfy.

FWIW
I took the old lines to the local hose shop & got some stainless braided teflon made to fit the bike with slip fittings on the oil tank end thus eliminating a mile of leak points .
Set & forget .
Never touched them in 30 years .

Thank You for the replies ..I am very appreciative .

I aim to build up a complete set of oil pipes which I can swap over with the existing set which are in poor shape .
