Considering the engineering in our A10s and A7s, how far back are we traveling in time when we climb aboard (he asked Dr. Brown)? I had bean thinking late 40's, but this puts a different spin on it.

First came the Triumph pushrod OHV parallel twin. It was a success. Others made their own versions.
I haven't studied motorcycle history so I may be wrong.

Me neither GB. But the first Triumph twins were ?Val Page? And very different with engine oddly-offset etc, and I think were 650s. Turner redesigned to create what was the basis for all the postwar stuff, Speed Twins onwards. No idea if first one was just pre-war - but seems so. Can't look into it easily as am currently far from home and PC, taking some rays in northern Espana, following yo-yo bo-jo's continuing vacillation over letting even double-vaxxed peeps into the land of their birth without hassle - where I was supposed to be this week seeing faintly-remembered kids. Fourth failed attempt on that, and second completely problem-free alternative trip elsewhere. Sicily last time round . .
Look forward to accurate info on Tri-hards from them as knows!

Was thinking it might be poss to get a good inflatable, used only once, from some chandler on the English south coast. Apparently there are a few dotting the shingle . . .
But, would then have to get it back whence it came, pump it up a bit, and set to sea again.
Just have to hope to 'not be taken' before being able to say 'taradiddle' and 'fun while it lasted' to the fruit of the loins I suppose!
And be sure to sign over a bike or three to them before I cool, to reduce paperwork!
