Atkinson Cycle engine
« on: 12.08. 2021 19:16 »
I am changing my car for a Honda Jazz. In some countries it's called the Honda Fit.
The car is a mild hybrid;  surplus energy is harvested and stored in a small battery to be used when appropriate; consequently the fuel consumption is excellent. The spec describes the engine as being Atkinson-Cycle. I had not heard of that so I looked it up. Here is the Wikipedia article on this concept. I found it very interesting. I now understand why the car has that type of engine.
