A7 Plunger Sidecar Fittings
« on: 17.09. 2021 21:41 »
Greetings fellow people with taste! (Is that a good level of sucking up?).

I have my sidecar ready to attach to my 1949 A7 Plunger, but I am lacking a few bits. Just wondering if in your collective copious piles of BSA based treasure one, two or a few of you might have any of the following bits spare or not in use?

Bits I need:
- 67-9045 Rear / Final Drive Chain (110056 x 104)
- 67-6124 Rear Wheel Brake Drum & Sprocket 49T (5/8×3/8)
- 67-5036 Front Fork Springs (pair @ 19.5 coils of .212″ diameter wire, 11 1/2″ – 11 5/8″long, 34 lbs/inch)
- 89-4247 Plunger Top Spring - heavyweight (pair)
- 67-3176 Speedometer drive bush locating pin
- Conical under-headstock sidecar fitting bar (preferably with flat eyelet end)
- Conical under-seat sidecar fitting bolt (preferably with flat eyelet end)

In fact any of the mountings that would physically connect the frame of the bike to the arm from the sidecar chassis would be worth looking at!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Chains are cheap enough...you're not really asking for a used one are you?

Just happens to be on the list - my key bits I need are the conical frame mounts and the rear sprocket

Everything else can happen as it happens.

So I've sourced a few bits, so any help with the shorter list would be great.

Bits I need:
- 67-5036 Front Fork Springs (pair @ 19.5 coils of .212″ diameter wire, 11 1/2″ – 11 5/8″long, 34 lbs/inch)
- 89-4247 Plunger Top Spring - heavyweight (pair)

- Conical under-headstock sidecar fitting bar (preferably with flat eyelet end)
