Yep, she's a bitsa, and that's how she'll stay.
To be honest, at the time I was really after a Bonneville or Tiger engine to build into a chopper, but there was nothing to be had at the time. For some bazaar reason, this old BSA motor came up on fleabay and interested me. Prior to that I was strictly a Triumph and Harley man, so my knowledge and experience with Beeza's was nil.
It was only the fact that this whole Superflash thing was supposed to be a rare beast that I decided to go ahead and buy it instead of holding out for a Trumpy.
Again, the guys on the forum here will attest to my total ignorance about the entire BSA marque, and have given me untold help and advise getting me to where we are now. In saying that, opinions and new information received, not to mention difficulty in obtaining genuine parts tended to muddy the waters to the point where I gave up trying to stay true to the SF design. So I went my own way, and ended up with what I've got. I'm happy with it, and if others don't, then that's their prerogative.
It's an interesting toy, and has kept me amused, broke and occupied for the last couple of years. But have now finally got hold of a nice Bonnie that is getting the full restoration job, so the Beeza has been somewhat relegated for now.
Thanks guys.
Tony
