G'day GB.
I liked the milkshake test at about 15:00.
So the BSA needs a suspension upgrade!
Cheers

Only if you need to transport an open jug of milkshake.

I imagine that there will be many upgrades and tweaks for the bike from third party suppliers. I'd like to see a better looking exhaust pipe run.

The March issue of Ride magazine, (no it's not a top shelf periodical! )  has a nine page write-up on the new BSA. I've only skimmed it so far but it appears to be extremely positive.

In other newts, buyers have been taking charge of the first batch of bikes from India. Some dealers are offering bikes for immediate purchase.

I've already put 500 of my British pounds down as deposit for a Legacy model, delivery expected April. I'm very close to the epicentre of BSA UK, Coventry.

Not likely! I'd be too scared to ride like that these days.
I rode a Honda 500 Four when I was a despatch rider in the mid 1970's. Winding the bike up to a ton on the motorway made the bends feel too tight.

G'day GB.
What is the posted red line for the motor? I would have thought a single with a balance shaft would have gone higher.
Now waiting to see one that has been warmed up, no baffles (or decent pipe), cam & head work.  *bash*
Cheers

I don't have my bike yet Musky so don't know where the red line set.

A chap commented about that video saying he also got to that speed on his standard machine. He is planning to fit a larger gearbox sprocket to his bike. He feels the torque is there to pull it.

Seems many owners are removing the silencer baffle, (drill out two pop rivets) to get a better sound track. I've even heard of someone getting the dealer to remove the baffle before hand over. The bike in that video still has its baffle fitted. I wonder if without the baffle he may have got more speed.

Another suggestion is de-catting the exhaust to allow freer breathing. I've read that that is illegal, in the UK and also invalidates the warranty, unlike removing the exhaust baffle, which appears to be OK with Mahindra.

Ha, when did that stop anybody *smile* Just wrap the original up and save for rego inspections. We'll have to wait till a performance exhaust mob makes one. Just removing the baffles may not make it go faster unless it's re-mapped to suit.
Cheers

That max speed was a restricted revs of 7000rpm for A2 riders, if we knew how to derestrict it,  it revs to 10000.
who knows what it can do.
The sad thing for Enfield lovers who keep comparing it, is there engine is already maxed to capacity.
So the future could be bright for the Goldie.

G'day GB.
I like the sound of that.
But seeing how slow the speed increase is at 7K getting it to rev much past that in std tune would take a while. Free breathing pipe, air filter, cam, re-map of ignition and fueling we could have a race winner.  *work* *bash* *bright idea*

Fingers crossed today is the day 🤞.

I've made space in my shed by pulling out the hoist which is currently on its side under the carport. Looks like I could keep two bikes, (if it wasn't for Er indoors insisting that I at least partially refund our savings by selling Emily 😕)

Pfft. Loads of space, and you could fit another three in there. If you're not crammed full you haven't got enough.. ;)
