TLS Brake
« on: 04.10. 2022 07:26 »
My Tribsa (1961 Golden Flash chassis) has an 8" non flanged front hub with a Bonneville SLS brake. I have a Triumph T150 Trident front brake, will it fit this type of hub? Are the shoes the same width?
I read somewhere the hub was changed to a flanged type, as there had been problems with cracking of the non-flange one with the TLS brake.

Further research shows that the TLS brake shoes are wider than those in the sls brake, which is in the non flanged hub. Therefore, I shall need to find the flanged hub to use with this brakeplate. Or stick with the SLS setup!

The Triumph TLS backplate fits my full-width (non-flanged) hub fine. I believe there are different TLS set-ups.
