Front Fork Seal Holders
« on: 25.01. 2023 11:23 »
Morning , quick question , i have just received some new front fork seal holders to replace the battered and dented ones on the bike. Draganfly and the forum parts list show number as 42-5315.   New ones listed as for A10 front forks are listed arrived with pt number 29-5310.  Only difference i can see is they look about 18mm longer , will this cause any problems when on full travel under braking  ?
Cheers dave

G'day Dave.
A quick google shows both those part #'s and more for the seal holders 49 to 59  *dunno*  https://tinyurl.com/3765r2tx
18mm is a fair bit longer. I'd assemble one leg without the spring just to check.
Cheers

Don't worry about the length for now...see if the damn things fit!!! and do Musky's quick test.

29 5310 is standard holder for "A Group".

42 5315 is listed as A10 Super Rocket/Spitfire Scrambler for the American Market. These are used with the rubber bellows.  Standard holder is used with the normal steel tube fork shroud(s).

 Info from 1961 Parts List.

 Swarfy.

FWIW

I just installed a set of SS FF Seal holders on the A10
Pt # 295310
purchased them from Barleycorn Engineering in UK
Fitment and quality both top notch 👍

Swarfy i did remove spring and refit the leg back in the yolks, held the new seal holder alongside the leg and there is room without hitting bottom of yolk  *wink2*

Apologies for the sideways picture its the correct way up in my laptop  *pull hair out*
