For a bit of nostalgia try " The Black Rider." B/W, 1954. Weak spy plot, set in England in the 1950's, and features exterior shots of Corfe Castle and Lullworth Cove.
But it does show a fair few contemporary bikes in a big way, including two Triumph Twins with consecutive number plates.....obvious product placement. Our hero rides his brand new Triumph in a suit, the aristocrats are clothed by Dior and Saville Row. English society of the time mirrored perfectly. The barman pulls a pint in seconds and the beer is frothy. The bikes start first kick, and at least in an early scene the front brake works almost too well. A Bantam climbs a cliff path with ease and is later described as something foreign "Look at that Silencer."
Sadly the only A10's are a S/A model shown for a fraction of a second, and a good old Plunger Flash dragging a sidecar into the distance in the final scene.
On Talking Pictures (UK TV Channel). I used the Encore feature to stream it. Shown yesterday 14/04/25.
